About Ecotattva

At ‘Eco-Tattva’, our venture started with the intent of being deeply rooted to mother nature and is run on a strong principle of sourcing high-quality handmade products that are environmentally friendly. In India, we have artisans that are extremely talented and deeply rooted in nature and share an inseparable connection with the environment. The idea finally turned into a beautiful journey of bringing various Indian art and quality eco-friendly products to life through a perfect blend of Indian tradition and modernization and providing it with a global market.

This not only brought our dreams to life but also showed infinite potential and opportunities for the Indian artisans to help them earn a sustained livelihood for themselves and their families. Thus was born “Eco-Tattva- with love from nature”.

Khadi / Solar fabric follows the principle of “Recreate”, “Reuse” and “Recycle”.

Ecotattva fabric (commonly known as “Khadi”) are woven with solution dyed yarn, eliminating a highly pollutant production phase. The fabric treatments are optimized to avoid excessive use of chemical substances on the products. Ecotattva represents a totally unique concept of ethical clothing with eco designed / handmade fabric. The principal: instead of sending the left over solution dyed yarn from the end of our spools to outside recycling centres, we now use them in-house to make new fabric, in keeping with Ecotattva’s commitment to environmental protection and aim to produce zero waste.

The fabric is light and airy and provides dual advantages – cooling in summers and warmth in winters. Eco-Fabric is a zero carbon footprint fabric. It requires no fuel, electricity or machines for manufacturing. We purely use hand and solar charkhas to produce the fabric thus we also call it Eco/ Solar fabric. It also has reduced water footprint as it requires 80% less water as compared to any other mill fabrics, during the manufacturing cycle. If you are a nature lover then Eco/Solar Fabric is the most eco-friendly fabric you can use.

And of course, we love the look, the texture and the uniqueness of the fabric…!!

Ecotattva’s sustainable apparel’s vision is a home textiles industry that doesn’t layover environmental harm and provides a positive impact on the people and communities associated with its activities. Ecotattva also resembles vision to produce traditional yet designer kurta’s, shirts and kurti’s for men and women resonating the message of made in India.

To bring this vision to life, our team are working together to achieve these five key outcomes by the year 2020:

  • The sustainable practices born out of Ecotattva’s strict assessments deliver unprecedented business value and sustainability impact.
  • Our apparel are accepted and adopted in India and worldwide as trusted, industry standard tool for measuring and improving sustainability in the “Khadi” industry.
  • Apparel and home textile product lifecycles have achieved transparency. Companies and people at every step of design, production and distribution take full responsibility for environmental and social impact.
  • Shoppers use international standards to evaluate and influence the product choices they make.
  • Other industries look at Ecotattva model for their own shifts to sustainability.
  • Create an unique online shopping website for hand made Kurta, shirts, kurtis, dupatta, stole and sarees among other eco friendly products.
